Installation Procedure

Install the tank cover (2).

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

Loosely install all the tank cover bolts.
Tighten: Tighten the bolts to 8 N.m (71 lb in).
Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (Single Battery) Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (Auxiliary Battery) in Engine Electrical in the C/K Pickup service manual.
