Installation Procedure

- Position the CNG fuel tank mounting frame into the bed using new mounting bolts.
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information in the C/K Pickup service manual.
- Install the frame support brackets (4) using new nuts (3).
Tighten: Tighten the nuts to 81 N.m (60 lb ft).
- Install the exhaust system heat shields and bolts.
Tighten: Tighten the bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
- Install the CNG fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank Replacement (Pickup with Type 2 Tank) or Fuel Tank Replacement (Cab/Chassis with Type 2 Tank) .
