Installation Procedure

- Connect the fuel fill line to the check valve (4) with a new O-ring face seal. Lubricate the O-ring face seal with petroleum jelly.
Tighten: Tighten the fitting to 37 N.m (27 lb ft).
- Connect the fuel fill hose to the check valve (4) with a new O-ring face seal. Lubricate the O-ring face seal with petroleum jelly.
Tighten: Tighten the fitting to 37 N.m (27 lb ft).
- Install the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (Single Battery) Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (Auxiliary Battery) in Engine Electrical in the C/K Pickup service manual.
- Start the vehicle and inspect for CNG fuel leaks at the serviced fittings using the J 45878 or an equivalent liquid leak detector. See Special Tools and Equipment .
- Install the truck body as required on ZW9 equipped vehicles.
