Spring Shackle (C/K Models): Removal

  1. Raise and support the vehicle.
  2. Support the rear axle independently in order to relieve the tension on the leaf springs.
  3. Loosen the shackle to spring nut.
  4. Remove the rear bracket bolt, the nut, and the washers from the shackle. See Fig 1 .
  5. Remove the spring nut, the washers, and the bolt from the shackle. See Fig 1 .
  6. Remove the shackle from the vehicle.
