Spring Shackle (C/K Models): Installation

NOTE: Do not tighten the fasteners until all the parts have been assembled.
  1. Install the shackle to the vehicle.
  2. Install the spring bolt, the washers, and the nut to the shackle. See Figure .
  3. Install the rear bracket bolt, the washers, and the nut to the shackle. See Figure .
  4. Tighten the leaf spring to bracket nuts, the leaf spring to shackle nut, and the shackle to bracket nuts. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  5. Adjust the spring height between the top surface of the axle jounce pad and the bottom surface of the frame jounce bracket. See Fig 1 .
  6. Lower the vehicle.
