Leaf Spring (Single Wheel Spring Assembly): Removal

- Raise and support the vehicle.
- Support the rear axle independently in order to relieve the tension on the leaf springs.
- Remove the U-bolt nuts (6). See Fig 1 .
- Remove the washers (5).
- Remove the anchor plate (7).
- Remove the U-bolts (1 and 4).
- Remove the spacer (8), loosen the shackle to spring nut.
- Remove the shackle (3), the shackle to rear bracket nut, the washers, and the bolt. See Fig 1 .
- Remove the spring to front bracket.
- Remove the nut, the washer, and the bolt from the spring to front bracket.
- Remove the spring assembly from the vehicle. See Fig 2 .
