Installation Procedure

  1. Install the torque converter bolts.
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Use J 43442 to hold the flywheel.

    Tighten:  Tighten the torque converter bolts to 60 N.m (44 lb ft).

  4. Install the starter. Refer to Starter Motor Replacement (LA1) or Starter Motor Replacement (LY7) in Engine Electrical.

  6. Install the torque converter cover. Refer to Torque Converter Cover Replacement (LA1)  or Torque Converter Cover Replacement (LY7) .
  7. Lower the vehicle.
