Installation Procedure

  1. Install the seat belt retractor to the vehicle.
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the bolt (1) that retains the rear retractor to the body.

    Tighten:  Tighten the retractor bolt to 43 N.m (32 lb ft).

  5. Install the quarter trim panel to the vehicle.
  6. Install the bolts to the cargo tie-down locations.

    Tighten:  Tighten the loop bolts to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

  7. Install the lower seat belt anchor bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten anchor bolt to 43 N.m (32 lb ft).

  8. Install the liftgate door sill plate. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement - Liftgate (Rendezvous) in Interior Trim.

  10. Install the pillar trim to the vehicle.
  11. Install the bolt that secures the seat belt guide loop.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 43 N.m (32 lb ft).

  13. Close the cover to the seat belt guide loop.

  15. Install the rear No. 2 seat. Refer to Seat Replacement - Rear No. 2 (Buick) in Seats.
