Installation Procedure

  1. Install the park brake cable.
  2. Install the park brake cable to the park brake cable bracket.
    3. Fig 1: Locating Park Brake Cable Guides

  3. Install the park brake cable to the park brake actuator.
    4. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  4. Install the rear park brake cable retaining nut and bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  5. Install the park brake left side cable to the park brake equalizer.

  6. Secure the park brake cable to the rear crossmember with 2 rivets (1).
  7. Adjust the park brake cable. Refer to Park Brake Adjustment (Disc)  or Park Brake Adjustment (Drum) .
  8. Lower the vehicle.
