Removal & Installation (3.1L & 3.4L)

Turn ignition off. Remove power steering pump. Disconnect Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor. See Fig 1 . Remove CMP sensor mounting bolt and CMP sensor. Inspect sensor "O" ring for wear cracks or leakage if the sensor is not being replaced. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten CMP sensor bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
