Throttle Position Sensor: Installation

With throttle valve in closed position, install TP sensor and seal on throttle body. Install a new TP sensor screw. Tighten TP sensor screw to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Connect TP sensor harness connector. Install the air cleaner outlet resonator, air cleaner intake duct and vent hose. TP sensor is self-zeroing and is not adjustable.



Install the TP sensor "O" ring on the TP sensor. Install TP sensor on throttle body. Apply GM Loctite 262 (105624) or equivalent to TP sensor screws. Install and tighten TP sensor screws to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Install air intake duct. TP sensor is self-zeroing and is not adjustable.
