Torque Tube Assembly Cleaning and Inspection

    IMPORTANT: The internal components of the torque tube assembly are not serviced separately. Replace the tube and internal components as an assembly.
  1. Inspect the torque tube for broken or cracked welds (1), dents or damage to the exterior of the tube (2), a damaged propeller shaft flange (3), or loose or missing dampners (4).

  3. Inspect the propeller shaft seal surface (1) for wear or excessive scoring.
  4. Inspect the propeller shaft splines (2) for any unusual or excessive wear.
