Installation Procedure

  1. Apply prelube GM P/N 1052365 or the equivalent to the oil pump drive gear.
  2. Apply engine oil to the oil pump drive gear assembly for ease of assembly.
  3. Install the oil pump drive gear assembly.
  4. Install the oil pump drive gear clamp.
  5. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  6. Install the oil pump drive gear clamp bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the oil pump drive gear clamp bolt to 36 N.m (27 lb ft).

  7. Connect the fuel feed and return pipe to the fuel injector rail. Refer to Fuel Hose/Pipes Replacement - Engine Compartment in Engine Controls - 3.4L.
  8. Install the upper intake manifold. Refer to Intake Manifold Replacement - Upper .
