Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the automatic transaxle. Refer to Transmission Replacement (LA1) in Automatic Transaxle - 4T65-E.
  2. Remove the engine flywheel bolts and flywheel.
  3. Clean the engine flywheel bolt threads and bolt holes.
  4. Clean and inspect the engine flywheel. Refer to Engine Flywheel Cleaning and Inspection .
