Installation Procedure

  1. Assemble the intake manifold as necessary. Refer to Intake Manifold Assemble .
  2. Fig 1: View Of Intake Manifold

  3. Install the intake manifold. Refer to Intake Manifold Installation .

  5. Install the PCV hose to the intake manifold and the cylinder head.
  6. Install the brake booster vacuum hose to the intake manifold.

  8. Connect the throttle body electrical connector.

  10. Connect the intake manifold runner control solenoid electrical connector.

  12. Connect the fuel injector electrical connector.

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  14. Install the wiring harness to the right side of the intake manifold.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bracket bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  16. Connect the purge solenoid electrical connector.
  17. Carefully raise the powertrain or lower the vehicle in order to Install the frame bolts.
  18. Install the frame front bolts. Refer to Frame Replacement - Front (W/AWD) or Frame Replacement - Front (W/FWD) in Frame and Underbody.

  20. Remove the floor jack.
  21. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  22. Install the front fender liners. Refer to Front Fender Liner Replacement in Body Front End.
  23. Connect the intermediate steering shaft to the steering gear. Refer to Intermediate Steering Shaft Replacement in Steering Wheel and Column.
  24. Lower the vehicle.
  25. Install the ECM bracket with the ECM.
  26. Connect the BARO sensor electrical connector.
  27. Connect the fuel pressure and EVAP hoses to the engine. Refer to Quick Connect Fitting(s) Service (Metal Collar) and to Quick Connect Fitting(s) Service (Plastic Collar) in Engine Controls - 3.6L (LY7).
  28. Install the air inlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Intake Duct Replacement in Engine Controls - 3.6L (LY7).
