Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the air cleaner duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Intake Duct Replacement in Engine Controls - 3.4L.
  2. Remove the throttle cable bracket in order to gain access to the throttle body heater hose clamp.
  3. Drain the coolant until the coolant level is below the throttle body heater hoses. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System .
  4. Use the J 38185  in order to remove the hose clamp. See Special Tools and Equipment .

  6. Remove the throttle body heater inlet hose.
