Removal Procedure

  1. Drain the coolant until the coolant level is below the lower radiator hose. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System .
  2. Remove the lower radiator hose from the coolant inlet pipe. Refer to Radiator Hose Replacement - Outlet (LA1)  or Radiator Hose Replacement - Outlet (LY7) .
  3. Remove the water coolant inlet pipe bolts and the coolant inlet pipe.
  4. Remove and discard the coolant inlet pipe seal.
