Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the split bench seat. Refer to Seat Replacement - Rear 50-50 Split .
  2. Remove the back trim panel from the rear seat. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Seat Back .
  3. Remove the outer trim panel from the rear seat cushion. Refer to Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Seat (Bucket)  or Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Seat (Split Bench) .

  5. Remove the lower J-hook retainer and pull back the cushion cover to expose the recliner hinge and the center pivot point.

  7. Remove the upper bolts from the seat back recliner hinge.

  9. Remove the seat back from the inner pivot point by lifting up the outer end of the seat back. Use a quick upward twist to disengage the pivot stud from the pivot socket.
