Removal Procedure

  1. Open the liftgate.
  2. Open the endgate.
  3. Remove the endgate trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Endgate .
  4. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Endgate .
  5. Disconnect the endgate latch rod from the bellcrank. Refer to Bellcrank Replacement - Endgate .

  6. Remove the endgate latch bolts from the endgate latch.
  7. Slide the endgate latch forward and disconnect the end gate latch rod from the endgate.
  8. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the endgate latch.
  9. Remove the endgate latch from the vehicle.
