Installation Procedure

  1. Align the endgate hinge to the body rear end panel.

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the endgate nuts to the endgate hinge.

    Tighten:  Tighten the endgate nuts to 33 N.m (28 lb ft).

  3. Align the endgate to the endgate hinges, with an assistant.
  4. Install the endgate hinge to endgate bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the endgate bolts to 33 N.m (28 lb ft).

  5. Connect the electrical harness to the endgate.
  6. Close the endgate.
  7. Close the liftgate.
