Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Pontiac Aztek and 2004 Buick Rendezvous. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the fuel filler cap to the fuel filler pocket by compressing the retainer on the fuel filler cap tether and pushing the tether through the fuel filler pocket drain hole.

  2. Install the fuel filler pocket to the fuel filler neck, pressing into place until fully seated.
    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the screw to the fuel filler pocket.

    Tighten:  Tighten the fuel filler pocket screw to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  4. Install the fuel filler cap to the fuel filler neck.
