No Drive

The following are possible causes and corrections for this condition:

• The input shaft assembly is damaged, worn or misaligned in the case - replace the input shaft assembly.
• The input shaft (outer) bearing is damaged, seized or worn - replace input shaft (outer) bearing.
• The input shaft fluid passage sleeve is obstructed or damaged - replace input shaft fluid passage sleeve.
• The sun gear is worn - replace sun gear.
• The sun gear thrust washer is worn - replace sun gear thrust washer.
• The input shaft (inner) bearing is damaged, seized or worn - replace input shaft (inner) bearing.
• The front differential carrier assembly is damaged - replace front differential carrier assembly.
• The front differential side gear has a broken tooth - replace front differential side gear.
• The front differential pinion gear has a broken tooth - replace front differential pinion gear.
• The front differential pinion shaft is damaged or fractured - replace front differential pinion shaft.
• The front differential pinion gear shaft pin is damaged - replace front differential pinion gear shaft pin.
• The fluid pump seals are cut or damaged causing leaking past seal - replace fluid pump seals.
• The control valve body bolts/screws are loose, cross-threaded or stripped - tighten/replace bolts/screws.
• The bearing retainer for the variable drive pulley is damaged or not holding causing drive belt failure - replace bearing retainer.
• The bearing retaining ring for the variable drive pulley is loose, damaged or not holding causing drive belt failure - replace bearing retaining ring.
• The drive sprocket has worn or broken teeth causing loss of hydraulic power from drive link failure - replace drive sprocket.
• The driven sprocket has worn or broken teeth causing loss of hydraulic power from drive link failure - replace driven sprocket.
• The splines on the driven sprocket are worn or damaged - replace driven sprocket.
• The drive link assembly is stretched or has worn or damaged chain links - replace drive link assembly.
• The drive/driven pulley opening covers are leaking internally and/or damaged - replace drive/driven pulley opening covers.
• The drive/driven pulley opening cover seals are cut or damaged (leaking) - replace drive/driven pulley opening cover seals.
• The variable drive belt assembly is damaged or broken - replace variable drive belt assembly.
• The retainer on the variable driven pulley assembly is damaged or not holding causing drive belt failure - replace variable driven pulley assembly.
• The (selective) bearing retainer for the variable driven pulley is damaged or not holding causing drive belt failure - replace (selective) bearing retainer.
• The pinion gear and/or transfer gear teeth on the front differential drive pinion gear assembly are broken or damaged - replace front differential drive pinion gear assembly.
• The forward clutch backing plate is worn, has broken splines or is damaged - replace forward clutch backing plate.
• The retaining ring for the forward clutch backing plate is loose, damaged or not holding - replace retaining ring.
• The forward clutch plate assemblies have worn splines or friction material - replace forward clutch plate assemblies.
• The forward clutch piston assembly is cut or rolled - replace forward clutch piston assembly.
• The variable drive pulley assembly is damaged - replace variable drive pulley assembly.
• The forward clutch piston spring is damaged - replace forward clutch piston spring.
• The transmission fluid pump assembly is internally damaged causing low or no pressure at the discharge port - replace transmission fluid pump assembly.
• The fluid filter assembly is clogged, loose or not sealing properly - replace fluid filter assembly.
• The stator shaft assembly is damaged - replace transaxle case assembly.
• The torque converter has damaged lugs or the lug bolts are sheared - replace torque converter.
• The internal hub splines for the torque converter are worn or damaged - replace torque converter.
• The torque converter is damaged - replace torque converter.
• The shaft splines on the variable drive pulley assembly are worn or damaged - replace variable drive pulley assembly.
• The fixed bearing on the variable driven pulley assembly is worn or damaged - replace variable driven pulley assembly.
• The bolts securing the transmission fluid pump assembly to the case are loose or stripped - tighten/replace bolts.
• The driven sprocket retaining ring is loose, damaged or not holding - replace retaining ring.
• The line "1" pressure regulator valve is worn, sticking or binding - replace line "1" pressure regulator valve.
• The line "1" pressure regulator valve spring is worn, sticking or damaged - replace line "1" pressure regulator valve spring.
• The bore plug retainer for the line "1" pressure regulator valve is damaged or installed incorrectly - replace bore plug retainer.
• The bore plug for the line "1" pressure regulator valve is worn or damaged - replace bore plug.
• The line limit valve is stuck in the exhaust position - replace line limit valve and flush the control valve body.
• The line "2" pressure regulator valve is worn, sticking or binding - replace line "2" pressure regulator valve.
• The line "2" pressure regulator valve spring is worn, sticking or damaged - replace line "2" pressure regulator valve spring.
• The bore plug seal for line "2" pressure regulator valve is missing or cut - replace bore plug seal.
• The manual valve is worn, sticking or binding - replace manual valve.
• The control valve body is porous, damaged or contaminated with debris - replace or flush control valve body.
• The forward and reverse clutch valve is worn, sticking or binding - replace forward and reverse clutch valve.
