Road Test Procedure

NOTE: Perform this test when traffic and road conditions permit. Observe all safety regulations.
  1. Install scan tool.
  2. Start engine.
  3. Depress brake pedal.
  4. Move gearshift lever as follows:
    • Park to Reverse.
    • Reverse to Neutral.
    • Neutral to Drive.

    The gear selection should be immediate and not harsh.

  5. Set up scan tool to monitor the APP angle, transaxle output speed and speed ratio.
  6. With the gearshift lever in "D" position, accelerate to a chosen APP angle and hold accelerator pedal steady. Compare transaxle output speed and speed ratio to the chosen APP angle on the ratio chart from stop. See Figure .
  7. Repeat step  5 and compare with ratio chart steady. See Figure .
