Conditions For Setting DTC

DTC will set if the fail counter is equal to 10,000 when:

DTC P0705, P0716, P0717, P0722, P0723, P1756, P1779, P1883, P1884, P1885, P1886, P1888, P1889, U2103, U2104 and U2105 have not set.
Ignition voltage is 8-18 volts.
Transmission fluid temperature is greater than 70°F (21°C).
PNP switch is equal to Drive.
Engine speed is greater than 500 RPM for more than 5 seconds.
The absolute value of the difference between the speed ratio and the desired speed ratio is greater than 0.1 on 2002 models and 0.45 on 2003 models.
Speed ratio is 0.38-0.9 on 2002 models and 0.35-1.1 on 2003 models.
Transaxle input speed is greater than 700 RPM.
Accelerator pedal position angle is greater than 5 percent.
Transaxle output speed greater than 400 RPM.
Time since range change greater than 6 seconds.

DTC P1882 diagnostic runs continuously when the above conditions have been met. DTC P1882 is a type "A" DTC.
