Conditions For Setting DTC

DTC will set if PNP switch is equal to Drive, Intermediate, or Low when Park or Neutral is detected for 20 seconds when:

DTC P0705, P0716, P0717, P0722, P0723, P0742, P1779, P1888 and P1889 have not set.
Transaxle input speed is 550 RPM or greater for 20 seconds.
Ignition voltage is 8-18 volts.
Engine speed is greater than 500 RPM for at least 5 seconds.
Transaxle output speed is 100 RPM or less.
Accelerator pedal position angle is less than one percent.
Speed ratio is 0.35-0.42 on 2002 models and 0.38-0.60 on 2003 models.
Throttle angle and accelerator pedal position angle signals are valid.

DTC P1758 diagnostic runs continuously when the above conditions have been met. DTC P1758 is a type "B" DTC.
