Circuit Description

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Saturn Vue and 2002 Saturn Vue. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

This test checks for correlation between the commanded pressure and the measured pressure. A problem in these two values can be detected by two diagnostic cases. The first case is instability in the measured signal. For this DTC, the TCM samples the pressure every 0.1 second. If within 2 seconds the commanded change in pressure is small and the measured pressure has changed more than a calibrated value 10 times, DTC P0841 will set. The second case is when the sensor readings are not changing. The measured pressure at start-up is compared to the current measured pressure and if it has changed very little for 2 seconds in comparison to the commanded pressure change, DTC P0841 will set.
