Conditions For Setting DTC

DTC will set if TCC is commanded on 3 times within an ignition cycle, and each time TCC slip speed is 220 RPM or greater for 3 seconds when:
- Ignition voltage is 8-18 volts.
- Engine speed is greater than 500 RPM for at least 5 seconds.
- Accelerator pedal position angle is greater than 5 percent.
- PNP switch is in Drive, Intermediate, or Low and engine torque is 22-221 ft. lbs. (30-300 N.m).
- Speed ratio is greater than 0.38.
- Transmission fluid temperature is 70-266°F (21-130°C).
- DTC P0705, P0716, P0717, P0722, P0723, P0742, P1756, P1758, P1779, P1888, and P1889 have not set.
- Engine torque, throttle position angle, and accelerator pedal position angle signals are valid.
- Time since a PNP switch change is greater than 6 seconds.
DTC P0741 diagnostic runs continuously when the above conditions have been met. DTC P0741 is a type "B" DTC.
