Circuit Description

Dash Integration Module (DIM) transmits Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and last 4 digits of SDM (programmed into DIM during vehicle assembly) to SDM when ignition is turned on. SDM receives messages and compares them to information stored in memory. SDM sets DTC B1001 when it receives a VIN that is different from VIN stored in DIM memory.
