Removal Procedure

  1. Turn OFF the ignition.

  3. Disconnect the EGR valve electrical connector.
  4. Remove the transaxle fluid filler tube. Refer to Fluid Filler Tube Replacement (LA1)Fluid Filler Tube Replacement (LY7) in Automatic Transaxle - 4T65-E.
  5. Remove the bolt retaining the pipe assembly from the EGR valve and carefully pull the pipe assembly back.
  6. Remove the EGR valve retaining bolts.
  7. Remove the EGR valve assembly.
  8. Remove the gasket.
  9. Clean the EGR valve mating surface.
