Installation Procedure

  1. Install the EGR valve with a new gasket to the intake manifold.
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the bolts through the EGR valve.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).

  4. Connect the pipe assembly to the EGR valve.
  5. Install the bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  6. Install the transaxle fluid filler tube. Refer to Fluid Filler Tube Replacement (LA1)Fluid Filler Tube Replacement (LY7) in Automatic Transaxle - 4T65-E
  7. Connect the EGR valve electrical connector.
