Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Pontiac Aztek and 2004 Buick Rendezvous. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Replace the O-ring, if it is damaged. Lubricate the O-ring with clean engine.
  2. Fig 1: View Of CKP Sensor (7X)

  3. Install the sensor to the block.
  4. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  5. Install the sensor attaching bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 11 N.m (97 lb in).

  6. Install the sensor electrical connector.
  7. Install components that were removed.
  8. Lower the vehicle.
  9. Perform the CKP System Variation Learn Procedure. Refer to CKP System Variation Learn Procedure .
