Installation Procedure

  1. Install the 24X crankshaft position sensor (1) with bolts (4) and the route harness as noted during removal.
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the harness retaining clip (3) with the bolt (4).

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  4. Connect the sensor electrical connector.
  5. Install the balancer on the crankshaft. Refer to Crankshaft Balancer Replacement in Engine Mechanical.
  6. Lower vehicle.
  7. Perform the CKP System Variation Learn Procedure. Refer to CKP System Variation Learn Procedure .
