Removal Procedure

  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 3 in SIR.
  2. Remove the steering column trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement .
  3. Fig 1: Locating Theft Deterrent Control Module

  4. Pull the theft deterrent control module (2) away from the lock cylinder housing (1).

  6. Depress the 2 white spring loaded retainers on the ignition switch.
  7. Slide the ignition switch downward away from the ignition lock cylinder case.
  8. Disconnect the electrical connector from the ignition switch.
