Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Buick Rendezvous. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Carefully clean the throttle body mounting surfaces of any gasket and/or seal material.
    2. Fig 1: Identifying Throttle Body Bolts

  2. Install the throttle body and NEW gasket.
    3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the throttle body bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the throttle body bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  4. Install the throttle body electrical connector.
  5. Install the air cleaner intake duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Intake Duct Replacement .
  6. Perform the idle learn procedure. Refer to Idle Learn Procedure .
  7. Use the scan tool to clear all DTCs.
