Installation Procedure

  1. Install the ignition coils.
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the ignition coil bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the ignition coil bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  5. Connect the ignition coil electrical connectors.

  7. Use the floor jack in order to raise the powertrain until the frame contacts the chassis.
  8. Install the frame front bolts. Refer to Frame Replacement - Front (W/AWD) or Frame Replacement - Front (W/FWD) in Frame and Underbody.
  9. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  10. Install the front fender liners. Refer to Front Fender Liner Replacement in Body Front End.
  11. Connect the intermediate steering shaft to the steering gear. Refer to Intermediate Steering Shaft Replacement in Steering Wheel and Column.
  12. Lower the vehicle.
