Removal Procedure

  1. Open the instrument panel (I/P) compartment door.
  2. Remove the I/P compartment handle screws. Refer to Handle Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Compartment (Aztek) .
  3. Remove the I/P compartment handle from the I/P compartment.

  5. Insert the key into the I/P compartment door lock cylinder.
  6. Insert a small diameter tool into the slot on the upper side of the door handle cylinder housing. Depress and hold the lock cylinder retainer.
  7. While the lock cylinder retainer is still depressed, turn the key clockwise to the 3 o'clock position.

  9. Pull to remove the lock cylinder.
