Rear Seat Audio Power Indicator Always On

1 Did you perform the Radio/Audio System Diagnostic System Check? Go to Step 2  Go to Diagnostic System Check - Entertainment System

  1. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  2. Turn ON the radio.
  3. Press the rear seat audio (RSA) control power button ON and then OFF.
  4. Observe the indicator after pressing the power button OFF.
Is the power indicator illuminated?
Go to Step 3  Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems
3 Test the RSA enable circuit of the RSA control for a short to voltage. Refer to Circuit Testing and to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
Did you find and correct the condition?
Go to Step 6  Go to Step 4 
4 Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the RSA control. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and to Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.
Did you find and correct the condition?
Go to Step 6  Go to Step 5 
5 Replace the RSA control. Refer to Audio Control Replacement - Second Seat (Aztek)  or Audio Control Replacement - Second Seat (Rendezvous) .
Did you complete the replacement?
Go to Step 6  -
6 Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
Did you correct the condition?
System OK -
