Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Pontiac Aztek and 2004 Buick Rendezvous. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (LA1) or Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (LY7) in Engine Electrical.
  2. Remove the rear door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Rear Door (Aztek)  or Trim Panel Replacement - Side Rear Door (Rendezvous) .
  3. Remove the rear door water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Rear Door .
  4. Remove the rear door rubber conduit from the rear door. Refer to Rubber Conduit Replacement - Rear Door .
  5. Disconnect the rear door wiring harness connectors from all the accessories.

  6. Disconnect the rear door wiring harness rosebud retainers from the inner rear door panel.
  7. Remove the rear door wiring harness from the rear door.
