Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Pontiac Aztek and 2004 Buick Rendezvous. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the rear door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Rear Door (Aztek)  or Trim Panel Replacement - Side Rear Door (Rendezvous) .
  2. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Rear Door .
  3. Remove the speaker. Refer to Speaker Replacement - Rear Door .
  4. Disconnect the window from the regulator carrier plate. Refer to Window Replacement - Rear Door .
  5. Position the window in the full up position and tape it to the window frame.
  6. Disconnect the electrical connector from the window regulator motor.

  7. Loosen the bolts on the window regulator motor.
  8. Loosen the bolts on the window regulator rail.
  9. Remove the window regulator, lifting up and out from the key slots on the rear door inner panel and through the rear access hole.
