Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Pontiac Aztek and 2004 Buick Rendezvous. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
IMPORTANT: Protect the applique with heavy material tape in order to avoid damaging the underlying paint finish or applique. Do not use a pointed or a sharp instrument for the removal of the applique.
  1. Remove the window outer belt sealing strip. Refer to Sealing Strip Replacement - Front Door Window Belt Outer .
  2. Remove the center of the rivets using a center punch.

  3. Drill out the rivets from the front door frame applique.

  4. Remove the frame applique from the front door.
