Power Window Inoperative - Driver Door

1 Did you perform the Door Systems Diagnostic System Check? Go to Step 2  Go to Diagnostic System Check - Door Systems 
2 Verify that the inoperative driver door power window fault is present.
Does the driver door power window operate normally?		 Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems Go to Step 3

  1. Disconnect the driver window motor.
  2. Turn on the ignition, with the engine off.
  3. Probe the power window motor left front up circuit of the driver window motor with a test lamp that is connected to a good ground.
  4. Activate the driver window switch to the UP position.
Does the test lamp illuminate?		 Go to Step 4  Go to Step 5

  1. Connect a test lamp between the power window motor left front up circuit of the driver window motor and the power window motor left front down circuit of the driver window motor.
  2. Activate the driver window switch to the DOWN position.
Does the test lamp illuminate?		 Go to Step 7  Go to Step 6 
5 Test the power window motor left front up circuit for an open. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
Did you find and correct the condition?		 Go to Step 11  Go to Step 8 
6 Test the power window motor left front down circuit for an open. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
Did you find and correct the condition?		 Go to Step 11  Go to Step 8 
7 Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the driver window motor. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.
Did you find and correct the condition?		 Go to Step 11  Go to Step 9 
8 Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the driver window switch. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.
Did you find and correct the condition?		 Go to Step 11  Go to Step 10 
9 Replace the driver window motor. Refer to Window Regulator Replacement - Front Door .
Did you complete the repair?		 Go to Step 11  -
10 Replace the driver window switch. Refer to Power Window Switch Replacement - Left Front (Aztek)  or Power Window Switch Replacement - Left Front (Rendezvous) .
Did you complete the repair?		 Go to Step 11  -
11 Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
Did you correct the condition?		 System OK Go to Step 2
