Power Door Locks Inoperative - Endgate/Liftgate

Connector End View Reference: Power Door Systems Connector End Views , Body Control System Connector End Views , or Electrical Center Identification Views
1 Did you perform the Door System Diagnostic System Check? Go to Step 2  Go to Diagnostic System Check - Door Systems 
2 Verify that the endgate power door locks inoperative fault is present.
Do the endgate power door locks operate normally?		 Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems Go to Step 3

  1. Disconnect the appropriate endgate lock actuator.
  2. Probe the endgate lock actuator unlock control circuit with a test lamp that is connected to a good ground.
  3. Activate a door lock switch to UNLOCK.
Does the test lamp illuminate?		 Go to Step 4  Go to Step 6

  1. Probe the endgate lock actuator lock control circuit with a test lamp that is connected to a good ground.
  2. Activate a door lock switch to LOCK.
Does the test lamp illuminate?		 Go to Step 5  Go to Step 7

  1. Connect a test lamp between the endgate lock actuator unlock control circuit and the endgate lock actuator lock control circuit of the appropriate endgate lock actuator harness connector.
  2. Activate a door lock switch to LOCK and UNLOCK.
Does the test lamp illuminate?		 Go to Step 8  Go to Step 9 
6 Test the endgate lock actuator unlock control circuit for a short to ground or an open. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
Did you find and correct the condition?		 Go to Step 12  Go to Step 9 
7 Test the endgate lock actuator lock control circuit for a short to ground or an open. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
Did you find and correct the condition?		 Go to Step 12  Go to Step 9 
8 Inspect for poor connections at the endgate lock actuators. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.
Did you find and correct the condition?		 Go to Step 12  Go to Step 10 
9 Inspect for poor connections at the body control module. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.
Did you find and correct the condition?		 Go to Step 12  Go to Step 11 
10 Replace the appropriate endgate lock actuator. Refer to Latch Replacement - Endgate in Body Rear End.
Did you complete the repair?		 Go to Step 12  -

  1. Perform the set-up procedure for the body control module. Refer to Body Control Module (BCM) Programming/RPO Configuration in Body Control System.
  2. Replace the body control Module. Refer to Body Control Module Replacement in Body Control System.
Did you complete the replacement?		 Go to Step 12  -
12 Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
Did you find and correct the condition?		 System OK Go to Step 2
