DTC P0133 or slow response is most likely caused by one of the following conditions:
- MAP sensor output that causes PCM to sense a higher than normal manifold pressure, or low vacuum, can cause system to go rich. Disconnecting MAP sensor will allow PCM to set a fixed value for MAP sensor. Substitute a different MAP sensor if rich condition is gone while MAP sensor is disconnected.
- An intermittent TP sensor output can cause system to go rich due to a false indication of engine accelerating.
- Check O2S 1 for silicone contamination from fuel or from use of an improper Room Temperature Vulcanizing (RTV) sealant. O2S 1 sensor may have a White powdery coating which will result in high but false voltage signal, indicating rich exhaust. PCM will then reduce amount of fuel delivered to engine, causing a severe surge or driveability problem.
