Engine Flywheel Housing Installation

- Install the oil cooler adapter with gaskets (1, 2) to the oil cooler.
- Install the oil cooler adapter to oil cooler bolts.
Tighten: Tighten the oil cooler adapter to oil cooler bolts to 21 N.m (15 lb ft).
- Install the two O-rings (1, 2) to the flywheel housing.
- Apply a 2 mm wide bead of sealant to the flywheel housing sealing surfaces (3), including the upper oil pan to flywheel housing sealing area.
- Install the flywheel housing to the cylinder block.
- Install the flywheel housing bolts, denoted by a black circle.
Tighten: Tighten the flywheel housing bolts to 80 N.m (60 lb ft)
- Install the oil cooler adapter to flywheel housing studs.
Tighten: Tighten the oil cooler adapter studs to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
- Install the oil cooler adapter to flywheel housing nuts.
Tighten: Tighten the oil cooler adapter nuts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
- Install a new gasket to the turbocharger oil return pipe.
- Install the turbocharger oil return pipe to flywheel housing studs.
Tighten: Tighten the turbocharger oil return pipe to flywheel housing studs to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
- Install the turbocharger oil return pipe nuts.
Tighten: Tighten the turbocharger oil return pipe nuts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
