Drive Belt Tensioner and Generator Mounting Bracket Installation

Tools Required 

J 25033-C  Pulley Installer

  1. Install the drive belt tensioner and generator mounting bracket.
    2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the drive belt tensioner and generator mounting bracket bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the drive belt tensioner and generator mounting bracket bolts to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

  3. Install the vacuum pump - California Emissions.
  4. Install the vacuum pump bolts - California Emissions.

    Tighten:  Tighten the vacuum pump bolts to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).

  5. Install the vacuum pump pulley using J 25033-C  - California Emissions

  6. Install the tensioner pulley.
  7. Install the tensioner pulley bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the tensioner pulley bolt to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

  8. Install the left idler pulley.
  9. Install the left idler pulley bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the left idler pulley bolt to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

  10. Install the right idler pulley.
  11. Install the right idler pulley bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the right idler pulley bolt to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

  12. Install the schrader valve bracket (4).
  13. Install the schrader valve (3).
  14. Install the fuel injection control module harness bracket (2).
  15. Install the fuel injection control module harness bracket nuts (1).

  16. Connect the crankcase vent hose to the engine block.

  17. Install the crankcase ventilation hoses to the valve rocker arm covers.
