Water Pump Installation

  1. Lubricate the water pump O-ring with engine oil.
  2. Install the engine coolant pipe gasket.
  3. Install the water pump seal.
  4. Install the water pump. Be sure the water pump studs align with the coolant tube.

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  6. Install the water pump bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the water pump bolts to 21 N.m (15 lb ft).

  7. Install the water pump to coolant tube nuts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the water pump to coolant tube nuts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
