Installation Procedure

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Install the right exhaust pipe with a NEW gasket to the turbocharger. Align the tab on the gasket to face inward.
  2. Install the exhaust pipe to turbocharger bolts (2).

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 53 N.m (39 lb ft).

  3. Install the exhaust pipe to the exhaust manifold with a NEW gasket. Align the tab on the gasket to face outward.
  4. Install the exhaust pipe to exhaust manifold bolts (1).

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 53 N.m (39 lb ft).

  6. Install the EGR cooler tube nuts, to the studs (1).

    Tighten:  Tighten the nuts to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).

  7. Install the turbocharger exhaust pipe outlet. Refer to Turbocharger Exhaust Pipe Replacement (6.6L (LB7) Engine)  or Turbocharger Exhaust Pipe Replacement (6.6L (LLY) Engine) .
