Installation Procedure

  1. Install the ball joint to the lower control arm.
  2. Install the replacement bolts to the lower control arm.
  3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  4. Install the nuts to the bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the nuts to 70 N.m (52 lb ft).

  5. Remove the lower control arm from the bench vice.
  6. Install the lower control arm. Refer to Lower Control Arm Replacement (RWD)  or Lower Control Arm Replacement (4WD) .
  7. Install the tire and wheel tire assembly. Refer toTire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
  8. Remove the safety stands.
  9. Lower the vehicle.
  10. Verify the wheel alignment. Refer to Measuring Wheel Alignment (w/Rear Wheel Steering) or Measuring Wheel Alignment (w/o Rear Wheel Steering) in Wheel Alignment.
