Installation Procedure

  1. Assemble the drive bar extension onto the drive bar of J 33049  .
  2. Insert the J 33049  into the opposite side axle shaft tube.
  3. Install the J 45177  onto the J 33049  .
  4. Insert the axle shaft seal into the axle tube.

  6. Install the J 45177  (1) and the J 33049  (2) over the axle shaft seal.

  8. Drive the axle shaft seal into the axle tube using the J 45177  , the J 33049  and a hammer.
  9. Install the differential assembly. Refer to Differential Replacement (8.6 Inch, 9.5 Inch Axles) , Differential Replacement (9.75 Inch Axle)  or Differential Replacement (10.5 Inch, 11.5 Inch Axle) .
  10. Install the axle shafts. Refer to Rear Axle Shaft Replacement (8.6 Inch, 9.5 Inch Axles)  or Rear Axle Shaft Replacement (9.75 Inch Axle) .
  11. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
  12. Lower the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
