Transmission Rear Oil Seal (NV4500 & ZF S6-650): Installation

CAUTION:
The Output Shaft Oil Seal Installer (J-44732) will set the oil seal to the proper depth. Failure to use the output shaft oil seal installer will cause improper installation of the oil seal.
- Using output shaft oil seal installer install the rear oil seal. See Fig 1. Install the yoke. Use the pinion flange holder in order to hold the yoke.
- Install a NEW yoke nut. Tighten the yoke nut to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . See Figure. Install the rear propeller shaft. See appropriate DRIVE SHAFTS & UNIVERSAL JOINTS article in DRIVE AXLES.
- Fill transmission with appropriate fluid to proper level. See LUBRICATION . Lower the vehicle.
